I am most comfortable being called Dr. Michael or just Michael. The title of Doctor is very connected in western society to the concepts of sickness, illness, and disease. If you are a ‘patient’ then you are sick, and I don’t see you as sick. Although you may initially come in when you are experiencing pain or symptoms, getting chiropractic is not about you being sick or broken. The goal and the focus is always to bring greater balance and connectedness to your being. You are men, women and children who come to get adjusted to improve the quality of your life. You are full of life. As a chiropractor, I focus on that goal. I recognize that you have the power to heal within you. I just want to increase the flow of life in your body so you can heal you again and again everyday. I want you to heal physically, emotionally and spiritually. I want you to be connected so that healing happens and you reach higher and higher levels of wellness, life and connectedness. This is very far removed from doctors, patients, sickness and disease, so much more concerned with life and health.
I am here to serve you and adjust you and provide you with nutritional guidance to help you live your healthiest life. Sometimes I am here to support you or console you or teach you or nudge you or motivate you. Chiropractic is about the life inside you, not your sickness. Our kids have grown up with chiropractic care their entire lives, they had their first adjustments when they were just hours old, to help with the inherent trauma of the birth process. I want all this for you and your family as well.

I had my first chiropractic adjustment at 9 years old after falling off a school jungle gym. My parents saw the chiropractor regularly to maintain good health and deal with any musculoskeletal issues they had. I grew up dancing ballet at the pre-professional level and know how much chiropractic helps you recover from sports injuries and sprains. If you play a sport, you know the challenges it presents to your body. I don’t want you to give up what you love, whether it’s ballet, running, or soccer, I want to help your body adapt so you can continue doing what you love because we all need to do the things that bring us joy.
When I was in college, I started seeing a different type of chiropractor then I was used to, one who was more holistic. My asthma improved and I was able to stop taking some medication, in addition to my spine feeling better and being able to move more freely. There were so many benefits I experienced from regular chiropractic care, and he slowly educated me on many aspects of health besides just my spine. He shared information and research with me through conversations and his office lending library about organic foods, food irradiation, clean water, risks of medical interventions, natural childbirth, homebirths, breastfeeding, chiropractic for animals, the power of food based supplements and herbs, and so much more. I credit him for showing me the value in living a natural lifestyle which has benefited me, and my family, in ways beyond measure. He inspired me to become a chiropractor. I wanted to take care of people by helping them live healthier lives, feeling ease in their movement, breathing fully, and through learning about natural health and the ways it can benefit them.
